Accessibility Commitment
Kiid LLC is committed to making kiidcoffee.com accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to browse, learn about, and order our coffee without barriers, and we are working continuously to improve the accessibility of our website.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments. Conforming to WCAG 2.1 AA also helps make our site more usable for everyone.
Current Status
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We are actively reviewing kiidcoffee.com against WCAG 2.1 AA and remediating issues as we identify them. We do not claim full conformance at this time, and we are honest about being on a journey of continuous improvement.
Steps we are taking include:
- Auditing our Shopify theme code for accessibility issues and remediating them at the source
- Adding descriptive alternative text to product images and other meaningful images
- Ensuring color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA ratios
- Making sure all interactive elements can be operated using a keyboard
- Reviewing third-party apps and widgets installed on our store and replacing or removing those that create accessibility barriers
- Training our team on accessibility best practices for product content and site updates
- Re-testing our site on a regular schedule to catch and fix new issues
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, parts of our website may not yet be fully accessible. Areas where we are aware of limitations include:
- Some third-party content, including embedded apps, widgets, and integrations, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are evaluating these and working with vendors to address issues, or replacing them where necessary.
- Some older product images may have missing or incomplete alternative text. We are updating these on a rolling basis.
- Content provided by third parties (such as customer reviews) is outside our direct control, but we work to ensure the surrounding interface is accessible.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to address reported barriers within 30 days when feasible. If a fix will take longer, we will communicate the timeline and offer alternative ways to access the information or complete the transaction in the meantime.

Compatibility
kiidcoffee.com is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation. Some features may not work as expected on outdated browsers.
