Kiid LLC ("Kiid Coffee," "we," "us," or "our") operates kiidcoffee.com and related products and services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, place an order, sign up for our subscriptions, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with the Services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how we handle your information.
If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect personal information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you. The categories of personal information we collect, as defined under California law, include:

Sensitive Personal Information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined under California law (such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, financial account login credentials, precise geolocation, race, religion, health information, or contents of mail/email/text messages). If you voluntarily provide such information (for example, in a customer service email), we use it only for the purpose for which you provided it.
2. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you when you create an account, place an order, sign up for a subscription, contact customer service, leave a review, or sign up for emails or texts.
- Automatically through the Services when you visit our website, through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 5).
- From service providers and partners who help us operate the Services, including Shopify, our payment processors, shipping carriers, advertising platforms, and analytics providers.
- From publicly available sources such as social media platforms when you tag us or interact with our content.
3. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Service providers that help us operate the Services. These providers are contractually limited to using your information only for the purposes we specify:

- Klaviyo β email marketing, SMS marketing, and customer messaging
- Judge.me β product reviews
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) β order delivery
- Customer support tools β responding to inquiries
Advertising and analytics partners that help us measure and personalize advertising:
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads
- TikTok Pixel
- Amazon Advertising
- Microsoft Clarity (session recording and behavior analytics)
These partners may collect information about your interactions with our Services and combine it with information they collect from other sources. Sharing personal information with these partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as "sale" or "sharing" under California law and similar laws in other states. See Section 9 to opt out.
Affiliates and corporate transactions. We may share personal information with our corporate affiliates, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
Legal and safety. We may disclose personal information to comply with legal obligations, respond to subpoenas or valid legal requests, enforce our policies, protect the rights, safety, or property of Kiid LLC or others, or in connection with potential or actual legal claims.
With your consent or at your direction. We may share information with third parties when you direct us to (for example, when you log in via a social media account or share a product on social media).
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, certain of our advertising practices described above may qualify as "sale" or "sharing" under California's CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws. You have the right to opt out β see Section 9.
5. COOKIES, PIXELS, AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, web beacons, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies (collectively, "Cookies") to operate the Services, analyze usage, and deliver personalized advertising.
Categories of Cookies we use:
- Strictly necessary β required for the Services to function (e.g., shopping cart, checkout, login). These cannot be turned off.
- Performance and analytics β help us understand how visitors use the Services. Includes Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (which records anonymized session interactions to help us improve the site).
- Functional β remember your preferences and personalize content.
- Advertising and targeting β used by advertising partners (Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon) to show you relevant ads on third-party websites and measure ad performance.

How to manage Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). If you visit our Services with a Global Privacy Control signal enabled in your browser, we will treat the signal as a request to opt out of "sale" and "sharing" of personal information for the device and browser sending the signal. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org. Other than GPC, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
Opt out of advertising tracking. See Section 9 for how to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for advertising purposes.
6. SMS AND TEXT MESSAGE COMMUNICATIONS
If you opt in to receive SMS messages from Kiid Coffee through Klaviyo or another provider, the following terms apply:
- Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- You consent to receive recurring automated marketing and transactional text messages at the mobile number you provide.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can request help by replying HELP.
- We will not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.
- After you opt out, we may send a final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out.
We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable state laws governing SMS communications.
7. EMAIL MARKETING
If you sign up for our email list (managed through Klaviyo) or have opted in during checkout, we send you marketing emails about products, promotions, and brand news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our marketing emails. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may continue to send you transactional emails (such as order confirmations and shipping updates).
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and applicable email marketing laws.
8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES
You have the following rights, depending on where you live (see Section 9 for state-specific details):
- Right to access / know β request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete β request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to correct β request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Right to portability β receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing β direct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information for advertising purposes.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information β applicable in California (we do not currently use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right).
- Right to non-discrimination β exercise your rights without being penalized.

Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Verification typically requires you to confirm information we already have on file, such as your email address, name, and recent order details. For deletion or correction requests, we may require additional verification.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written authorization from you and may require you to verify your identity directly with us.
Response time. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will notify you of the extension and the reason.
Appeals. If we deny your request and you live in a state that provides an appeal right, you may appeal by emailing privacy@kiidcoffee.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."
9. U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS (CALIFORNIA, VIRGINIA, COLORADO, AND OTHERS)
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with privacy laws may have specific rights described in Section 8.
Opt Out of Sale and Sharing for Targeted Advertising
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics tools (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, Amazon Advertising, and similar) may qualify as "sale" or "sharing" under California's CCPA/CPRA and as "targeted advertising" under similar laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states.
To opt out:
- Submit a request by emailing privacy@kiidcoffee.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."
- Use the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser (see Section 5).
- Opt out at the source by adjusting your ad settings on Meta, Google, TikTok, and Amazon directly, and by using industry tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
California-Specific Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the rights described in Section 8, including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and non-discrimination.
Categories of personal information collected, sold, or shared in the past 12 months: See the table in Section 1 for categories collected. We do not sell information for money. Categories that may be "shared" for cross-context behavioral advertising include: identifiers, internet/network activity, commercial information, and inferences.
Categories of third parties with whom personal information is shared: service providers (Shopify, Klaviyo, Judge.me, payment processors, shipping carriers), advertising partners (Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, Microsoft), and analytics providers.
Sources of personal information: directly from you, automatically through the Services, from service providers, and from publicly available sources.
Retention: See Section 12.
Complaint Assistance. Under California Civil Code Β§ 1789.3, California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Boulevard, Suite N 112, Sacramento, California 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana Residents
Residents of these states have substantially similar rights as described in Section 8, including the right to access, correct, delete, port, opt out of targeted advertising and sale, and (in some states) opt out of profiling for decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not directed to children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and California's privacy protections for minors:
- Under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at privacy@kiidcoffee.com and we will delete it.
- Under 16 (California): We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of California residents under 16 without affirmative authorization (opt-in consent from the minor or parental consent for those under 13).
11. DATA SECURITY
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including:
- Hosting on Shopify's secure platform
- Tokenization of payment information by certified payment processors (Shop Pay, PayPal, and others) β we do not store full payment card numbers
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security reviews of our service providers
No system is perfectly secure. Despite our safeguards, we cannot guarantee that personal information will be free from unauthorized access. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
12. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods include:
- Account information: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure (typically 3 years), or longer if required by law.
- Order and transaction information: Retained for at least 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
- Marketing preferences: Retained until you opt out, plus a reasonable period to honor your opt-out.
- Customer support communications: Typically retained for 3 years.
- Cookies and analytics data: Retained according to the retention periods of the underlying tools (typically 14 months for Google Analytics; varies for others).
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
13. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
We do not currently use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Some of our personalization, recommendation, and advertising tools use automated processing to suggest products and content, but these do not have legal or similarly significant consequences. If we begin using automated decision-making that triggers your rights under applicable law, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice.
14. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
The Services are intended for users located in the United States, and we ship products only within the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to and processing in the United States, where laws may differ from those in your country of residence.
We do not target the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions outside the United States, and we do not market or sell to those regions.
15. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Services may link to third-party websites, social media platforms, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
- Post the revised Privacy Policy on the Services
- Provide additional notice (email or prominent on-site notice) when required by law
Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
